On maximum of our dives, we see large sharks and rays, important schools of pelagic, turtles as well as nudibranchs and a lot of smaller marine life. Conditions have to be appropriate to dive these sites, because there is no shelter from the island. The trenches are packed of interesting rock formations and narrow gaps in big rock walls for divers to swim through. The Needles are a important area south of the island stuffed of interesting rock formations. The Nursery is a important area stuffed of trivial marine life such as an abundance of colorful tropical fish, octopi, cuttlefish and Lionfish, but also turtles and Wobbegong Sharks. Apart from Marine life, interesting features in the Nursery include a big overgrown anchor whole with chain and Separate Tommie, a giant cracked rock which attracts a lot of fish life. This area is one of the superior spots at Julian Rocks for large pelagic. All year round, the area around the Cod Hole tends to seduce many large rays such as Eagle Rays and Bullrays. Specialty diver courses teach you the right way to have particular dive adventures, so you don’t have to learn on your own.
