During mammography, a specially competent radio logic technologist will position your breast in the mammography unit. Imaging of the breast improves a physician's skill to detect insignificant tumors. Exceptional concern is taken during Bray examinations to use the lowest radiation dose conceivable while producing the superior images for evaluation. Not all cancers of the breast can be seen on mammography. Prior the mammogram is taken, they should make sure the technologist is experienced in performing mammography on patients with breast implants. Ultrasound imaging of the breast produces a picture of the inside structures of the breast. Supplemental Breast Cancer Screening Mammography is the only screening tool for breast cancer that is obvious to lessen deaths due to breast cancer through hasty detection. Many studies have shown that ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can aid supplement mammography by detecting insignificant breast cancers that may not be visible with mammography. Supplemental screening ultrasound is usually only considered for women at tall risk for breast cancer when the breast tissue is dense. When ultrasound is used for screening, many abnormalities are seen which may require biopsy but are not cancer (false positives), and this limits its cost effectiveness.
